CHESTER, Ill. (AP) -- Funerals have been held for a southern Illinois woman and her sons who were found murdered in their home.
Columbia resident Sheri Coleman and her sons, Garett and Gavin, were remembered on Saturday. A public service is scheduled for Sunday night at a Columbia park and another family service is set for Monday in the Chicago area.
The three were found dead Tuesday morning after authorities went to their home for a wellness check at the suggestion of husband and father Chris Coleman.
Authorities haven't released a cause of death or the results of autopsies.
Maj. Jeff Connor is a deputy commander of the major case squad of greater St. Louis. He says detectives in scuba gear searched a lake behind the home on Friday.
