ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- Five local members of a motorcycle gang were among 22 men indicted for crimes across the country, including drug deals, violent attacks and murders.
According to federal investigators, "Wheels of Soul" members sold drugs to fund their operations and committed at least three murders.
Authorities say gang leaders told St. Louis members it was "open season" on rival club the "Sin City Titans."
In August 2009, investigators say two "Wheels of Soul" members killed a rival gang member and then were shot outside a club on north Broadway.
Federal investigators also say a gang leader ordered a hit on a rival club in East St. Louis last year, but called off the attempt when members spotted heavy law enforcement in the area.
St. Louis club members listed in the indictment include Dominic Henley, Lawrence Pinkston, Norman Vick, Timothy Balle, and Sean Jackson.
Investigators say they believe the indictments have made a large dent in the gang's activities.
