ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Forest Park in St. Louis is about to get a big upgrade.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that $30 million in new construction projects will be completed over five years and paid for through a special bond issue. The work compliments the $125 million already spent to restore one of America’s largest urban parks.
This phase of work calls for rebuilding athletic fields, adding year-round restrooms and water founds for the trail loops, improving three lakes, rebuilding the upper parking lot for the Muny outdoor theater and several street improvements.
