ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Two men are recovering in a St. Louis area hospital after police say they were shot outside a north St. Louis convenience store Sunday night.

According to authorities, the shooting happened near the intersection of West Florissant and Thrush avenues around 7:52 p.m.

The victims told police they were approached by two men who pulled out firearms and shot at them.

A 40-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and is expected to be OK. The other victim, 23, was shot in the chest. He is listed in critical condition, but officials say he has been stabilized.

Further details surrounding the investigation have not been released.
