(KMOV) – Two men faces charges after they were allegedly caught stealing money from washing machines at a University City apartment complex in early Feb.

Romel Cochrell, 29, was charged Wednesday with two counts of first-degree burglary and stealing over $500. Shaun Foster faces one count of first-degree burglary and stealing over $500.

Police say officers on Feb. 2 responded to a burglary in progress in the area of #1 Delcrest. Authorities say they spotted Cochrell and Foster and arrested them after a short foot chase.

Police say they were wanted for stealing from washing machines, though it was unclear how much money they took.

Both suspects are being held at the St. Louis County Justice Center on $75,000 cash-only bonds.
