(KMOV) – The Missouri Highway Patrol says they investigated nearly three dozen wrecks, two of which resulted in deaths, in the St. Louis area during the busy Memorial Day weekend.
The highway patrol’s Troop C says 22 people were also arrested on suspicion of drunk driving since increased patrol started at 6 p.m. Friday. During that time, authorities made two boating under the influence arrests.
Troop C covers Franklin, Jefferson, St. Charles, St. Francois, St. Louis and Warren counties, among others.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says statewide numbers should be available Tuesday. News 4 is still working to get statistics on the Illinois side of the river.
