ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Two men faces charges after an investigation by several police agencies into a possible heroin distribution ring in eastern Missouri. The investigation began after members of the Mineral Area Drug Task Force and the Missouri State Highway Patrol recognized a pattern of heroin overdoses. Several other agencies joined in the investigation. On Tuesday, a search warrant was executed at a home in St. Louis. The Highway Patrol says authorities seized marijuana, crack cocaine, heroin, a semiautomatic rifle and other illegal items. Arrested were 36-year-old Lavarius Blake of St. Louis, accused of possession of cocaine; and 29-year-old Clarence Nash of Osceola, Ark., accused of delivery of a controlled substance, which was heroin. A third suspect is still being sought. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
