18-year-old pleads guilty to assault in 'knockout game' case

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- A teen that was part of the ‘knockout game’ in south St. Louis has pled guilty to second degree assault.

According to police, 18-year-old Kwame Thomas admitted to assaulting a man near Osceola and Nebraska Avenue in November of 2011.

Sentencing for Thomas will be in March.  This case marks the beginning of several ‘knockout game’ hearings.

In April, Elex Levell will go to trial for the death of a 72-year-old man in south St. Louis; which was related to game.
