ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) –Two suspects accused in the murder of former SLU volleyball player Megan Boken have also been charged in the kidnapping and robbery of a woman outside a Brentwood grocery store earlier this month.
Keith Esters, 18, and Johnathan Perkins, 18, were charged Tuesday with robbery and felonious restraint after they allegedly robbed a woman after forcing her to drive to an ATM at the Brentwood Square shopping center on August 12.
Esters and Perkins had already been charged in the death of Boken, who was shot twice during an attempted robbery in the Central West End on August 18.
According to police, a woman said she was sitting in her car outside a store on August 12 when Ester and Perkins approached her and demanded money. She said the men then forced her to drive to an ATM and withdraw cash.
After ordering the victim to drive them back to the scene, the two men let her go and reportedly took off on foot.
Police said they connected the suspects to the crime after tracing a stolen cell phone.
The two remain in St. Louis City Jail with no bond.
