ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – A 12-year-old girl who broke her leg and suffered facial injuries during a school bus crash on Monday has been released from a St. Louis hospital.
Jessica Davis was one of eleven people injured when the school bus she was riding in rear-ended a tractor trailer on Interstate 55 near Litchfield.
Jessica was released from Cardinal Glennon on Wednesday evening, according to her family.
Authorities said the bus was full of 6th-grade students from Grantfork Upper Elementary in the Highland CUSD 5. The 33 students were on their way back from a field trip to the Illinois state capitol when the school bus rear-ended the tractor trailer, according to officials. The tractor trailer was slowing for construction zone traffic.
