DES PERES, Mo. (KMOV) – U.S. Bank is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in connection with several robberies inside St. Louis-area Schnucks stores throughout the past couple months.
The latest robbery happened Wednesday at the U.S. Bank inside the Schnucks in the 12300 block of Manchester near New Ballas.
According to authorities, it’s the busiest Schnucks store in St. Louis County.
Surveillance photos showed the male suspect appeared to be wearing a wig. They say he stands five-foot-five and weighs about 160 pounds.
He also reportedly handed a note to the teller stating he had a weapon.
The incident comes about a month after a man wearing a wig robbed the U.S. Bank inside a High Ridge Schnucks.
Another similar robbery happened on Monday in Maryland Heights. All incidents are basically the same scenario, with a threatening note being handed over to a teller, and the suspect demanding money.
Police believe the man and woman are working together and take turns holding up the banks. They believe the man is responsible for the High Ridge robbery, while the woman was behind robbing the Maryland Heights bank.
Anyone with information on the crimes is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS.
