BELLEVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- Police are investigating a crash in St. Clair County that killed a Belleville West High School Senior, and left another teen seriously hurt.

Police arrived at the scene just after 2am Saturday morning in the 2100 block of State Street Road.

Authorities say the car the teenagers were in rolled over, ejecting both the driver and passenger.

Stephen Zehner, 18, was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash, according to officials. He was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Megan Webb, 15, was transported to the hospital in serious condition. She remains hospitalized at St. Elizabeth's.

The accident is still under investigation. Anyone with further information on the crash is asked to contact Investigator Brian Cregger at (618) 825-5712.
