ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) – Homicide is investigating after a man was shot and killed during an alleged family dispute in north St. Louis.

Police say a 45-year-old man was found dead in the 5600 block of Hiller Place. He had suffered a shotgun wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

About 15 minutes after police arrived on the scene of the shooting, a 43-year-old man, believed to be the suspect, was caught in the 5100 block of Mimika.

Police said the suspect and the victim were related. The shooting was believed to have been fueled by some sort of family dispute. Investigators are still working to gather more information.

No charges have been filed against the suspect. Authorities are not releasing any names at this time.
