(KMOV) – Police are searching for three suspects who are accused of intentionally running over a 52-year-old man outside his home in Cedar Hill Thursday night.

Authorities say the victim was confronted by his 28-year-old son outside his home on the 5400 block of Faith Lane around 7 p.m. when an argument ensued. Authorities believe the argument began after the victim kicked his son out of the home due to possible illegal drug use.

Police say the son began punching the victim repeatedly as he sat in a pickup truck. Moments later, the son pulled him from the truck then jumped into the driver’s seat.

The son then backed over his father with the truck before the victim’s step-daughter,32,  proceeded to run him over again with a second vehicle, according to authorities at the scene,

The two suspects then got into a third vehicle driven by an unknown subject and fled the scene before authorities arrived. That vehicle was described as being a silver or gray Nissan or Ford SUV.

Officers are actively searching for the three suspects who should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police have not released the names of the suspects, but officers confirm both the 28-year-old and 32-year-old have criminal histories in Jefferson County.

Authorities say although no firearm was displayed during the incident, the suspects are known to be armed. Authorities also believe the son may be under the influence of methamphetamines.

The victim was airlifted to St. Louis County hospital where he is in stable condition.
