ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- One of four men convicted in the 1991 murder of two St. Louis-area sisters wants a new trial.
Julie and Robin Kerry were raped then pushed off the Chain of Rocks Bridge and into the Mississippi River. Both died.
In Monday’s hearing, lawyers for Reginald Clemons claim that police beat a confession out of him.
Attorneys for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office argue there was ample evidence against Clemons.
Hearings are expected to run through Friday.
