(KMOV) – One person was hospitalized after a fire swept through a south St. Louis home late Wednesday night.
According to firefighters, the fire started in the upper-floor of a home in the 3100 block of Caroline near Compton between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
Everyone in the home got out safely. One victim was transported to the hospital with smoke inhalation.
It was not clear how much damage the building sustained.
The cause of the fire was unknown.
