(KMOV) – A construction worker was hit by an oncoming vehicle while working along a roadway in University City.
According to University City Police, a subcontractor was doing striping work on a roundabout at Delmar and Trinity around 2 p.m. when he was struck.
The vehicle struck the worker as they were traveling across Delmar heading north from Trinity.
The worker was allegedly crouching down working when the accident took place. He was transported to an area hospital although it is unclear on the extent of his injuries.
There were several other workers nearby but they were not injured.
Further details into the investigation were not immediately released.
