(KMOV.com) -- Belleville Police charged a Fairview Heights woman involved in an attempted robbery at Regions Bank early Saturday morning.
Authorities charged Deanna Greer, 20, with one count felony attempt armed robbery and one count felony attempt aggravated robbery.
Belleville Police said they responded to the bank on the 600 block of Carlyle Avenue and employees said a female suspect presented a note demanding money from a teller shortly before 10 a.m.
Employees then said the woman later identified as Greer, fled the bank without receiving any money from the teller.
Police on the scene said a witness who followed Greer from bank helped officers locate evidence key to the investigation.
Greer was taken into custody for the alleged bank robbery.
Police reported no one was injured in the incident.
Bond for Deanna Greer was set at $200,000.
