(KMOV) – A Troy woman is accused of offering sexual services to an undercover police officer at a Ballwin apartment complex.

Police said Amanda Buschon, 31, placed an ad on a website describing the services she and another woman would provide at an apartment on Seven Trails Drive.

St. Louis County Police say the undercover officer paid her $150 in December 2012 during a sting operation.

Investigators say a second woman was present and participated but did not accept any money.  She was not charged.

The residents of the family-orientated apartment complex were shocked to hear about the prostitution ring although one long-time resident said he was not surprised.

Jim Pylipow said “when you have a whole bunch of those people living in an area, at one time, there’s bound to be a problem from time to time. Somebody is going to bend a rule to get ahead. Somebody is going to bend a rule because they’re behind and they need to get ahead. Things are going to happen.”

Buschon was charged on Tuesday and a criminal summons has been issued for her to appear in court.
