HAZELWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Drivers are urged to avoid a north St. Louis County roadway after a water main ruptured.
According to MoDOT, the break happened in the southbound lanes of North Lindbergh Boulevard near the intersection of Queen Anne Lane in Hazelwood.
Missouri American Water repairmen are on the scene working to repair the water line. They say the break spewed water onto the roadway causing them to ice over. They also reported that the roadway is damaged.
MoDOT officials said multiple lanes in the area are closed due to the hazardous conditions. They did not give an estimated time of reopening.
