(KMOV.com) – Three St. Louis University dorms were without water overnight Thursday following a water main break near Chaifetz Arena.

The break occurred on Laclede near Grand and Compton. Two highrises and an apartment complex were impacted, with about 600 students being affected.

The water was contained to the Chaifetz parking lot and no water entered the arena.

St. Louis University officials originally estimated the water to be back on by noon. That time frame has now been pushed back to later in the afternoon.
