UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (KMOV) – Police are searching for two suspects who robbed a Washington University student near the Delmar Loop on Tuesday night.

Authorities tell News 4, a 22-year-old male victim was approached by two men on Leland and Clemens Streets around 7 p.m. One suspect pushed the victim to the ground before demanding the victim's wallet and cell phone.

The victim complied to the demands before the suspects ran from the scene.

Police say the victim was injured during the robbery, but did not need medical attention at the scene.

University City Police describe the suspects as being two black males in their late teens to early twenties. Both men were wearing dark-colored clothing.

Authorities say they do have a person of interest in this case that is assisting in the investigation.

Further details into the investigation were not released.
