(KMOV) – The U.S. Fidelis headquarters, a building where over 1,000 people worked earlier this year, will be auctioned off in January.

Frontenac Bank and Mepco Finance Corporation allege the company’s founders, brothers Darain and Cory Atkinson, defaulted on a payment of the Wentzville building.

The auction on the building will will take place on January 13 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

The company released the following statement to News 4’s Chris Nagus:

"This notice in no way affects our plans to maintain a customer service and administration operation to support the needs of our customers. Our customers will continue to have vehicle service claims paid by the companies USfidelis represents. No matter what happens with the ownership of the building we fully expect that USfidelis and our approximately 200 employees will continue to be based here providing customer service and administration for approximately 300,000 contracts."
