Jefferson City, MO (KMOV.com) -- Attorney General Chris Koster filed a lawsuit Friday against three telemarketing companies who have made solicitation calls to Missourians on the no-call list.

All three of the companies are owned by Kevin Knasel. The companies listed in the lawsuit are Branson Premier Travel based in Branson, Branson Travel & Cruise in St. Louis, and Super Market Merchandising and Supply in St. Louis.

Koster says the companies called consumers to try to sell vacation packages and other products and services.

The attorney general is asking the court to stop telemarketers from calling consumers on the no-call list. He is also seeking civil penalties and the costs of investigation and prosecution.

Missouri residents can register their personal cell phones on the no-call list by calling (866)-662-2551 or visiting the attorney general's website.
