JUPITER, Fla (BaseballSTL) - One week from tomorrow the Cardinals will open the regular season in Arizona against the Diamondbacks, which means they have just a few more exhibition games to work out the kinks.

Once again, the lineup Mike Matheny sends out against the Mets today at Roger Dean Stadium has the look of a regular season lineup - with one exception.  Outfielder Carlos Beltran continues to be out with a sore toe that’s been bothering him.

Shane Robinson, not Oscar Taveras, replaces him in right field as Matheny goes with the players he’ll have to begin the year.

Matt Carpenter keeps making starts at second base, giving further credence to how much time he’s going to get at the position in 2013.

1) Jon Jay - CF
2) Matt Carpenter - 2B
3) Matt Holliday - LF
4) Allen Craig - 1B
5) Yadier Molina - C
6) David Freese - 3B
7) Shane Robinson - RF
8) Pete Kozma - SS
9) Jake Westbrook - P
Following Westbrook out of the bullpen is Randy Choate, Mark Rzepczynski, Mitchell Boggs, Trevor Rosenthal, Edward Mujica and Fernando Salas.

Those are essentially all of the big league relievers you’ll see in St. Louis with the exception of whoever turns out to be the innings guy (likely to be either Shelby Miller or Joe Kelly).
