Study: 1/12 of all Illinois bridges deficient

(KMOV.com) -- A transportation advocacy group says one in 12 Illinois bridges are structurally deficient.

Illinois ranked 35th in the country in the survey by Transportation for America.

According to the report, the state has more than 2300 bridges that need repaired or replaced out of its 26,000 total.

The study was based off federal highway data.
