(KMOV.com) -- Thirty years is a long time to wait for an answer to what should be a simple question.
At least, Ethel Ditto thinks so. The St. Peters woman wants to know about the letters that she - and millions of other americans born between 1917 and 1921 - are getting.
Because of a legislative glitch in the seventies, Social Security benefits were changed for a period of five years. Now, a letter lobbying campaign from one organization sends letters asking for donations to the cause.
Ditto had tried going to lawmakers, the Social Security Administration and others to get the letters to stop.
When no one could help her she called News 4’s Mike Colombo.
