(KMOV.com) -- The American Lung Association has given the St. Louis metro area a failing grade in air quality.

Madison County and Cook County—which includes Chicago—are the only two Illinois counties to recieve an “F” rating.

On the Missouri side, both St. Louis city and St. Louis County failed air quality standards for ozone and pollution levels.

According to the report, people living in the areas are also at risk for health problems.
