Police: St. Louis man lured girls from South County Mall for sex

(KMOV) – A 25-year-old St. Louis man is accused of trying to have sex with two girls he picked up at South County Mall.

Samwell Fowler was charged Saturday with two counts of enticement of a minor.

According to police, a 13-year-old girl and her 11-year-old sister leaving the mall in the 100 block of South County Center Way on March 8 when Fowler asked them if they needed a ride.

The victims told police they agreed and got in the car. According to police, Fowler drove past the victims’ home and parked in a nearby alley, where he asked them for sexual favors.

Police said when the girls refused, Fowler offered them money.

Authorities said the two girls eventually unlocked the doors and escaped without further problems.

Police said an investigation led them to Fowler, who was arrested and taken into custody, where he remains on a $50,000 bond.
