(KMOV) -- Police officers across St. Louis County came together on Monday to train for an active shooter situation.

Ten employees of St. Anthony’s Hospital in south St. Louis County played victims while St. Louis County police used cap guns to enact a life-like shooting situation.

The tactical training incorporates law enforcement and fire agencies throughout the county so if an active shooting situation would happen, crews arrive on the same page.

During the drill, as the officer impersonating a shooter made his way through the building, the volunteers barricaded doors then prepared to fight.

Over the course of three months, 50 police municipalities and more than 500 St. Anthony’s employees will experience the active shooter training.
