(KMOV) – The St. Louis Streets Departments were preparing for another round of snow on Tuesday, and were trying to avoid the same issues that plagued the city streets during the early January winter storm.
Streets crews had been preparing for over 24 hours by spraying some 60,000 gallons of brine on city streets.
St. Louis Streets Director Todd Waeltermann said the main roads and secondary streets remain the top priority.
The city said it hopes to avoid criticism it faced from residents and businesses during the last now event that dumped up to 10 inches in the city.
Complaints piled in as snow piled up on city side streets, prompting the city to clear side streets for the first time ever. Waeltermann told News 4 that probably won’t happen again.
