(KMOV) – One St. Louis City Alderman wants to make sure city officials are keeping their word and is proposing a bill which would require all committee meetings to be videotaped.

"Really this comes out of frustration from me, sitting on the budget committee for many years and we ask questions we think we get to the bottom and promises made and it's not done and in fact there's selective memory about whether that promise was ever made,” said 21st Ward Alderman Antonio French.

Alderman French said it’s all about accountability. He wants the recordings to be posted on YouTube so everyone can seem them easily.
