(KMOV) – According to a Brookings Institute Report, thousands of tech jobs are opening up in St. Louis.

“It’s not surprising,” said Colleen Liebig, a recruiter at Cultivation Capital. “Especially as more and more companies are moving to St. Louis.” She says there is a shortage of talent in St. Louis and across the country.

The Managing Director of Launch Code Brendan Lind agrees with Liebig saying he thinks there is “not quite as much talent” as employers are looking for them. He also notes that many places have a “slow human resources process.”

Both agree that it may take a long time in St. Louis, but it takes far longer to hire for tech positions in other parts of the country.
