(KMOV) – Terrell Gholson was a violent gangster who turned his life around and became a peacemaker in troubled neighborhoods.
Now, after his sudden death, community leaders are hoping other young men will fill his shoes.
Two decades ago, Gholson was an enforcer with the “Grape Street Crips” and was arrested more than 40 times and suspected of murder.
After two trips to the penitentiary, he became a Christian and activist for positive change.
News 4’s Craig Cheatham profiled Gholson in the KMOV Documentary “A Vicious Cycle.”
James Clark with Better Family Life is hoping other men will step and join in their mission to turn around troubled neighborhoods, one home at a time. It was a message Gholson believed it and practiced by inspiring many of his friends to do the same.
