(BaseballStL) -- Hanley Ramirez will be in the starting lineup for the Dodgers for Game 6 of the NLCS after he was previously ruled out of the line-up.

Ramirez left both Games 4 and 5 after six innings of play and missed all of Game 2 due to complications of a broken bone in his rib suffered when he was hit by a pitch in Game 1 of the NLCS.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly had ruled out Ramirez after the team landed in St. Louis for Game 6, but just before 7 p.m. Friday Ramirez was added to the lineup card.

Wearing a protective pad over the injured rib, Ramirez was visibly in discomfort throughout the three games played in Los Angeles. Ramirez is 2-for-12 in four games of the NLCS compared to 8-for-16 with a home run against the Braves in the NLDS.

Ramirez is in the clean-up spot of the line-up as Adrian Gonzalez moves to the third place and Yasiel Puig moves into the fifth spot.

The loss of Ramirez would have meant less protection for Adrian Gonzalez, who was intentionally walked in Ramirez’s absence in Game 2. Andre Ethier was also forced out of Game 2’s starting lineup, but he will make the start Friday.

The Cardinals will make one change in their starting lineup.

Shane Robinson will be inserted as the starting center fielder. Robinson collected his first career postseason hit, a solo home run in Game 4’s 4-2 win, and snapped a 0-for-11 playoff skid.

"I found out earlier today when I got to the field," Robinson said. "Mike (Matheny) came and told me, and I feel pretty good about it."

Robinson replaces Jon Jay who has struggled in the field and at the plate while going 3-for-17 (.176) this series and 6-for-33 (.182) overall this postseason.
