MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (KMOV) – Police say a man is in the hospital after he was abducted from his home in Maryland Heights on Friday.

Authorities said two suspects abducted the man from his home in the 11000 block of Pineview Crossing Drive around 11 a.m.

According to police, the suspects then stuffed the victim in the trunk of his own car. Police said the victim managed to escape from his vehicle several blocks away.

He called authorities and was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. He was expected to be released Friday evening.

Police said the two suspects specifically targeted the man, but it was not immediately known how they knew each other.

Authorities said the suspects fled the scene and should be considered armed and dangerous.
