(KMOV.com) – Police say one person was killed and two others injured after an argument led to a shooting in Berkeley Wednesday night.
Authorities say the incident happened in the 6100 block of 3rd Ave. near Hancock around 9:20 p.m.
Officers arrived on scene and found the victims suffering from gunshot wounds. According to police, the man was unresponsive. All three were transported to the hospital, where the male victim later died. The female victims were in stable condition.
Authorities say police canvassed the area and later found a vehicle matching the suspect’s. Officers secured the area and found the alleged shooter in a nearby residence. The suspect was immediately taken into custody.
Police say the shooting happened because of a verbal altercation. They say the incident was random.
