(KMOV.com) – Authorities said nobody was injured after shots were fired during a funeral outside a church in Berkeley.

Police said they received a call around 12:35 p.m. Friday about shots being fired in front of a church located on McKibbon. Investigators believe the incident occurred as a disturbance inside the church, but spread outside. Bullets hit cars parked in the parking lot.

According to authorities, one person who was involved got into a vehicle and continued to fire shots while driving away.

Police are still trying to piece together information about the original funeral, the background of the victim, and how a funeral turned into a fight.
