Police: Man tries to sell hundreds of video games stolen from South County store

 (KMOV) – A man is accused of stealing hundreds of video games from a south St. Louis County store then attempting to resell them at a nearby grocery store.

St. Louis County Police tell News 4, Christopher Austin, 22, allegedly stole 113 games from the Game Stop store in South County Center.

The games were valued at more than $800 in total.

Police say Austin was caught after he was seen wandering through Shop-N-Save Grocery Store on Lemay Ferry Road where he was trying to sell the games to store employees.

According to court documents, officers located Austin, who had blood on his clothing and appeared to have been assaulted.  At the time of his arrest, Austin first gave a false name and date of birth to the officers.

Austin was charged with one count of felony stealing over $500. Bond was set at $5,000.
