(KMOV) – Police are searching for a hit-and-run suspect who jumped out of his vehicle after it got stuck on some railroad tracks in north St. Louis early Thursday.
Authorities said the suspect was driving a van near the intersection of Melrose and Mora around 12 a.m. when he struck a car.
Police said the suspect drove off but the van got stuck on some nearby railroad tracks.
Authorities said the driver of the van then bailed from the van and fled the area.
Police said the suspect was nowhere to be found once they arrived to the scene.
