(KMOV) – Five people, including a pedestrian, were hospitalized after a three-vehicle wreck in Warren County Tuesday night.

Authorities said Jennifer Graves, 32, was riding in a car on eastbound Township Line Rd. just west of Highway 47 around 9:30 p.m. when the vehicle stopped on the road to check on an accident ahead of them.

Deputies said a minivan then stopped at the scene behind the car Graves had just gotten out of. That’s when a pickup truck crashed into the back of the minivan, which then struck the car Graves had exited.

The car then slammed into Graves, who was thrown to the pavement. She was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur in serious condition.

Deborah Hughes, who was driving the minivan, was also taken to Mercy in serious condition.

The driver of Graves’ vehicle and two teenagers in the pickup truck were transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Additional information was not immediately available.
