Suspects charged in police-involved crash, chase through West St. Louis

(KMOV) – Police issue several warrants against two men for fleeing from police where three people were injured in a collision through West St. Louis Wednesday afternoon.

Kevin Hayes, 20, has been issued warrants for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, and resisting/interfering with arrest.

Eric Hayes, 21, was issued warrants for possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.


Police say these two suspects were arrested after they led police on a chase starting at Benton and North Jefferson shortly before 4 p.m.

According to a police official, two adults and a child were injured when their vehicle was struck by an officer involved in the pursuit. They collided at the intersection of Forest Park Parkway and Skinker Boulevard.

The victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment. The officer was not injured.

Bond for Kevin Hayes was set at $30,000 cash only. A judge set bond for Eric Hayes at $40,000.
