(KMOV.com) -- The Affordable Care Act faces another legal battle as the white house starts a three-week public relations campaign to re-market the website.

Notre Dame University could face steep fines for failing to provide workers with insurance plans that cover birth control, even though contraception runs counter to the teachings of Catholicism.

The university has filed suit.

Opponents say lawsuits and the botched rollout of healthcare.gov are evidence the Affordable Care Act won’t work.

“This bill is fundamentally flawed, causing people to lose the doctor of their choice, causing them to lose their health plan,” said Speaker of the House John Boehner. “As if that isn’t enough, they’re having to pay much higher prices at the same time.”

The Supreme Court will decide whether private companies can refuse to offer certain insurance benefits, but the ruling isn’t expected until well into next year.
