Mobile device use before bed causes less sleep, study finds

(KMOV) – Checking your smartphone, tablet or laptop before you go to bed may be keeping you update, according to new research done by scientists at Harvard Medical School.

Scientists say wavelengths of light in the devices suppress hormones in the brain that make sleeping possible, resulting in less sleep and less time for the body to recover.
