Protestors fighting for minority rights sounded off outside Ballpark Village on Wednesday.

The Congress of Racial Equality says minority workers have been shut out of the project. It demands 50 percent of the remaining work to be done by minority workers.

“They’re saying to include minorities would cause them to not be able to get the kind of deal they want,” said Jesse Lofton with the Congress of Racial Equality. “So in order to get a deal they want, they said they had to exclude the minorities.”

The organization is also calling for an independent monitor of the project and all future city projects
