Veterans Memorial Parkway and Zumbehl Road
(KMOV) – Police are looking for the suspect who hit a 25-year-old pedestrian with a vehicle on Friday in St. Charles, Missouri, and then left the scene of the accident.
The victim was struck just before 11 p.m. on Veterans Memorial Parkway just east of Zumbehl Road, police say. Just after the accident, authorities say a witness saw the victim in the middle of the road and called police.
The victim, Musau Mulala, died later at St. Joseph's Hospital from injuries sustained in the accident.
Lieutenant Mike Akers says the suspect left a few pieces of evidence behind - like the side mirror on the driver's side. Police believe the suspect was driving a Chevrolet Venture or an Oldsmobile minivan made between 2001 and 2005. He also says the suspect's vehicle will have damage on the front.
