(KMOV) -- Many counties in Illinois have cited low numbers for tickets issued for driver’s talking on their cell phones as part of Illinois’ new law banning the use of mobile devices while driving.

Reports say 110 people in St. Clair County have been issued tickets while only 11 drivers in Madison County have been cited.

Illinois state police have also issued about 160 warnings to drivers.

During a 24 hour blitz in March, state troopers wrote 24 tickets in one day while conducting a traffic stop.
