(KMOV) – A Jefferson County man will serve 10 years in prison for drug trafficking in addition to previous drug-related sentences.

Court documents indicate that Brent Evans, 56, was found making over 30 grams of methamphetamine in 2012.  Evans pleaded guilty and will serve 10 years without parole.

He was previously sentenced to several prison terms. In Feb 2003, he was sentenced to two 15-year prison terms which could be served simultaneously. One sentence was for a felony drug charge and the other was a felony assault on a law enforcement officer. In June of the same year, he was sentenced to another 15-year prison term and two seven-year prison terms for felony drug charges. All five terms were to be served simultaneously, according to the report.

Additionally, Evans was charged with felony drug possession in Nov 2013 whose case is currently pending.

Evans is being held at the Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center.
