ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) -- One person suffered minor injuries after a house became engulfed in flames near Castlewood State Park on Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called to the 100 block of South Drive, near the Meramec River just before 9 a.m.
When crews arrived on the scene, the one-story residence was fully engulfed in flames.
“The biggest challenge faced by crews was the location of the fire," said Metro West Chief Vincent Loyal. "That particular area is without a public water system and accessible fire hydrants."

A firefighters was also later taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
