(KMOV.com) – A frustrated St. Louis Community College at Meramec student caused quite the stir Wednesday when she tweeted about financial aid.

According to police, 20-year-old Kara Hohman posted a tweet that stated “If this financial aid doesn’t figure itself out soon I’m going to kill someone. Going to meramec for class is bad enough.”

Court documents say in response, the financial aid department was evacuated; though a spokesperson for the school says the office was simply closed for an hour.

Hohman confessed to posting the tweet, which she said she had done out of frustration with the financial aid office at the college.

She is charged with disturbing the peace, a Class B misdemeanor.
